Here the steps required to turn a Rasberry Pi 2 into a DHCP/DNS server for your home using Arch Linux are shown. As well as creating a DHCP/DNS server using a read-only overlay to increase the life expectancy of your SD card.
For these guides the following equipment was used:
- Raspberry Pi 2
- 32 GB Sandisk SD card
- DS3231 RTC module (optional)
The Rasberry Pi 2 is connected via Ethernet to the home network.
